IN-HOUSE LEAGUE

LEAGUE 0NE - THURSDAY
20:00 - 20:45 14, 16, 18

 

 
LEAGUE TWO - FRIDAY
19:30 - 20:15 U10, 12, 14

Each team plays 7 games minimum with the two finalists playing 8 Each team plays every other week on a Thursday or Friday using a variation of Jonkers rules. Rules will be attached.

The teams will be selected by the coaches in the form of a draft to ensure teams are competitive every game.

LEAGUE RULES
1.     All games will be played in accordance with EIHA guidelines and in house rules.
2.     Only registered coaches, managers and players will have access to the changing rooms and team bench areas.
3.     Games will be 2x20  minutes running clock. ( 1 min between period)
4.     There will a 2 minute warm up before each game –with no pucks on the ice. This will commence from the time the first player of either team steps onto the ice.
5.     There will be no hand shakes after each game.
6.     No time outs are permitted.
7.     All games will be scored 2 points for a win, 1 for a draw and 0 for a loss.
8.     The winner of each group will be the team with the most points and the end of the league. In the event of a tie the winner will be decided as follows: -
·         Result of games between the two teams.
·         Goal difference.
·         Goals for.
·         Least amount of penalty minutes.
9.     Penalties –  penalties will be halved e.g. minor penalty 1 min, major 3 mins, and gross 10 mins. Any player receiving a 10 min penalty will miss the rest of the game, 
11. Every team must be ready at least 5 mins before the start of the game. As we are running to a strict schedule.
12. The Director of coaching will make the final decision on all matters.
 
 PLAYING RULES 
Full line change will be implemented approximately every one minute fifteen seconds. 3 LINES.
(1)             (Full Line Change) On the Buzzer.
(2)              If the puck is in the D Zone the offensive team can not enter until the defensive team touch the puck.
(3)             Offside - When there is an offside the ref will call a delayed offside and the offesive team must leave the zone before they re enter.
(4)             Buzzer - when there is a buzzer for a line change the face off will be at centre ice.
If the puck is in the neutral zone (On the buzzer) it’s a race out of the bench and first to the puck. 
 
Any players touching the puck after the buzzer will asses a minute penalty. 
 
No icings.
 
Players will sit penalties on their line. (1 minute from the time he enters the penalty box) Next line coming out plays five men. (This way no player has to sit for another player picking up penalties). 
 
Play will not stop for a penalty. Ref will take player to the penalty box without stopping the game. If any player refuses to go he will get a major penalty. (The other ref keeps the game flowing). 
 
When a goal is scored 1st ref will go to the centre face off and throw in a new puck. (Regardless of who is in position)? (He will make sure no team get a one on one with the goalie (From the face off) The second ref will retrieve the puck from the back of the net.
Players will have to move quickly back to the centre spot to win the puck.
